Make a Difference: Donate a Computer to a Child in Need

At CyberSSS, we believe in the power of technology to transform lives. In today's digital age, access to a computer is essential for a child's education and future opportunities. Unfortunately, many children in our community lack this vital resource.

That's why CyberSSS is launching a campaign to collect workable computers and laptops. We will refurbish these devices and ensure they find their way to children who need them most. Your donation can open doors to a brighter future for a child.

What We Need:

- Complete computer sets
- Laptops
- Monitors
- Keyboards and mice
- Tablets

How You Can Help: Feel free to drop off your donations at our office this weekend (September 14-15) between 10 AM and 5 PM. Our address is:

30 Concourse Gate, Unit 36,
Nepean, Ontario, K2E 7V7

Upcoming Event: We are excited to announce that an event will be held on October 12, 2024, at our office to distribute the donated computers to children in need. This will be a joyous occasion where we can witness firsthand the impact of your generosity.

Why Your Donation Matters: Every child deserves the chance to learn and grow in our digital world. Your old computer could become a new tool for education, creativity, and connection. By donating, you are helping to bridge the digital divide and provide invaluable opportunities for children in our community.

CyberSSS is proud to be an active member of the Ottawa community, and we are committed to giving back. Together, we can make a difference.

Join Us in This Cause: If you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your generosity and support. Let's work together to create a brighter future for our children.

Cybersecurity tools should enhance security without compromising user experience. CyberSSS demonstrates that both can be improved together. To be truly effective, cybersecurity must prioritize all users, regardless of ability.

CyberSSS ensures its platform is accessible, meeting the needs of employees and users with disabilities. Accessibility isn't just a feature—it's key to promoting better cybersecurity practices. Inclusive tools drive greater adoption, better habits, and stronger security for businesses.
Despite 1 in 4 Americans and 1.3 billion people worldwide living with significant disabilities, most websites fail to meet their needs. A WebAIM study found that 95.9% of website homepages have serious Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) failures, leaving many users unable to interact with content due to a lack of essential tools like screen readers, alt text, or magnification.

This digital inaccessibility isn't just frustrating for those with disabilities—it's a significant barrier for employees, hindering their productivity, satisfaction, and even impacting an organization’s cybersecurity.

Making Your Business Accessible for People with Disabilities
FREE PROGRAM
We’re offering a free program to help you incorporate accessibility features into your business, making it easier for employees and users with disabilities to engage with your technology. Here are some key features and assistive technologies we can help you implement:

Color Contrast: Essential for those with low vision, high color contrast helps distinguish elements on a screen, making text more readable.

Plain English: Clear and simple language is crucial for users with cognitive impairments, low literacy, or conditions like dyslexia and autism. It’s key for ensuring everyone understands your messages.

Accessible Fonts: These fonts are easy to read, scalable, and have adequate spacing, aiding those with visual impairments.

Screen Readers: Convert visual elements into audio or braille, making content accessible to users with visual disabilities. Remember to include alt text for images.

Language Tags: These tags enable users to select their preferred language when using screen readers, enhancing comprehension.

Keyboard Navigation: Essential for users with physical disabilities, this feature allows navigation without a mouse, providing a more inclusive user experience.
